Brain Injury Case Management in England and Wales

Hawkley Rehab provides brain injury case management across England and Wales. We work with adults and children who have sustained traumatic or acquired brain injuries, accepting referrals from solicitors, families, and other professionals throughout both countries.
Why England and Wales specifically?
England and Wales share a common legal framework for personal injury claims. That matters for case management, because the majority of the people we work with are either involved in litigation or have settled a claim that funds their ongoing rehabilitation.
The Rehabilitation Code 2015, which governs how rehabilitation is managed in personal injury cases, applies in England and Wales. Scotland operates under a separate legal system, with its own courts and procedural rules. Northern Ireland is different again. When a solicitor in England or Wales is looking for a BABICM-registered case manager, they need someone who understands the legal and procedural context in which they are working.
Hawkley Rehab is based in England and works exclusively in England and Wales. We understand how personal injury litigation works here, how insurers approach rehabilitation funding, and what solicitors need from a case manager to progress a case effectively.
Where we work
We cover a broad geographic spread across England and Wales. Our current caseload includes clients in London, Oxfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, East Sussex, Norfolk, Lincolnshire, Kent, and across North and South Wales.

How distance works in practice
Brain injury case management involves travel. We visit clients at home, attend case conferences, meet with therapists and care providers, and appear at court when required. This is built into how case management works, and it is built into our fees.
We are accustomed to managing cases where the client’s solicitor is in a different city from the client, and where the rehabilitation team is spread across multiple locations. Good case management is about coordination. Distance does not change what good coordination looks like.
For routine communication, we use phone and video calls. For assessments, meetings, and anything that genuinely requires a face-to-face visit, we travel. We do not cut corners on attendance when attendance matters.
Making a referral
Referrals can be made by phone or email. We respond promptly, and for solicitor referrals we can provide a fee proposal for an Immediate Needs Assessment quickly so there is no delay to the client’s rehabilitation.
